For those not-for-profit organizations that receive funding from Governmental organizations, Alerding Not-For-Profit is qualified to provide audits under standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. Although there are a number of CPA firms that can provide not-for-profit audit services under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Alerding Not-For- Profit is one of the few CPA firms that is qualified to perform audits of Government funds. This is a significant advantage to many not-for-profit entities, even if they don’t currently receive Government funds. In the event that the organization decides to apply for Government grants in the future, the organization will not have to change audit firms in order to provide the necessary audit under Government auditing standards.
